What Makes Us Successful

At Brilliance Educare Centre, we understand the importance of personal care in Education and we are aware of the individual needs of our students. As a result, we restrict the number of students per batch to a maximum of eight (per teacher). It helps us to concentrate on each student individually and cater to their needs personally. For gifted students and under achievers we run private (one on one) tuition also. We usually don’t combine students from different year levels, and as far as possible we group students of the same IQ level. We give regular homework to our students and conduct tests when and where required. In higher levels, we concentrate on external exams and help the students with their internal exams as well.

All our teachers are highly experienced, well qualified and NZ registered, and furthermore are committed and highly professional. Most of them work as full time teachers in the leading schools of Auckland. Our fees are very reasonable and we have flexible payment options and class timings.

Our People

Raji Chacko M.Sc, B.Ed, B.Sc, PGDME

Raji Chacko is a highly experienced mathematician and educator with a passion for innovative teaching methods. With a track record of excellence dating back to his school days, Raji has worked as a Mathematics teacher for over 14 years in Mumbai, including partnerships in leading tuition centers. Since relocating to Auckland in 2007, he has worked as a relieving teacher in some of the top schools of Auckland. Raji currently serves as the director and full-time teacher at Brilliance Educare Centre. He has gained widespread recognition among his students for his remarkable aptitude in simplifying mathematics, earning him the endearing title of the “mathemagician.” Raji’s ability to make the subject enjoyable is instrumental in creating an engaging learning environment for all students.

Lotus Raji M.Sc, M.Ed, B.Sc, B.Ed

Mrs. Raji finished her Master’s degree in Education from Mumbai University in 1998, the same university that Mr. Raji completed his “Post Graduate Diploma in Management of Education” (PGDME) from, the year after. Mrs. Raji gained teaching experience working as a mathematics and science teacher in Air India Modern School, Mumbai. Mrs. Raji too has completed the “overseas teachers re-training course” from Auckland University in 2008, and gained valuable experience of the NZ Curriculum working as a relieve teacher across the top schools in Auckland. She is now also a full-time teacher at Brilliance, both centres. Mrs. Raji has the inborn talent to go to the level of students and make them understand complex mathematical principles. She teaches Junior and Senior Maths at Brilliance.

Peter Yung B.Sc(Hons), B.Th, GradDipTchg(Secondary)

Peter started his teaching career after graduating with Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours majoring in Chemistry and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching from the University of Auckland. After teaching in a rural school for two and a half year, Peter started tutoring at Brilliance in 2012 while he was undergoing further studies at Good Shepherd College, Auckland. In 2015, Peter graduated once again with a Bachelor of Theology, majoring in Catholic theology with sub-majors on Scripture and Philosophy from the Sydney College of Divinity. With more than ten years experience of teaching and tutoring, Peter is well familiarised with the curriculum for NCEA, IB and Cambridge syllabus. With his deep subject knowledge, Peter was able to inspire many students unlocking their true potential in their learning.
